You can’t go wrong with Drucker’s “The Five Most Important Questions You Will Ever Ask About Your Organization”. The latest version includes 5 influential thought leaders’ responses to his questions. They were great when they first came out over 15 years ago, and they deserve “reasking” every year.
Coming off a recent re-read of Groeschel’s “It,” I believe it’s extremely healthy to annualy re-evaluate “Why” for every ministry initiative…why do we do that? Why these things? What are excluding ourselves from by this commitment and is it God’s unique call for our community in this time and place? What things can and should be eliminated in our context? What’s God converging in our midst, and what faith steps are being asked of us? What are 1 or 2 bells that if God rings through our community this year would make everything a “success?”
