Good post, Will.

I appreciate your emphasis on doing the hard work in the church to not simply "cut and paste" program...rather find a way to flesh out God's plan through our unique calling and vision.

As a daily Kindle user, I have followed the launch of the iPad. With an established base, how will Amazon respond? When the biggest church in town isn't yours, how do you respond?

Further opportunities to learn here??

I think this is a helpful comparison, but I think it breaks down at the level of consumerism. It would be amazing if we were as laser-focused as Apple, but this usually just means that we end up catering to people's felt needs (or creating needs that don't actually exist), which is what Apple does.

I really like how this post stirs the pot!

Your parallel between local church design, Apple's iPod design and the creation of a desirable, clear-minded and accessible ministry has my mind racing.

Thanks!

Keep creating...a future worth chasing,
Mike
