Bio
My Auxano Bio
Will Mancini emerged from the trenches of local church leadership to found Auxano, a first-of-kind consulting ministry that focuses on vision clarity. As a “clarity evangelist,” Will has served as vision architect for hundreds of churches across the country including the leading churches within Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran and Non-denominational settings. His clients include notable organizations like Leadership Network and Upward Unlimited and pastors like Chuck Swindoll and Max Lucado. Will’s style blends the best of three worlds: the process thinking from the discipline of engineering, the communications savvy as an ad agency executive, and the practical theology as a pastoral leader. His pastoral experience includes helping lead two different congregations to over 3,000 in weekend attendance in 10 years- Clear Creek Community Church and FaithBridge UMC. Will’s education includes a ThM in Pastoral Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State. He is the author of Church Unique: How Missional Leaders Cast Vision, Capture Culture and Create Movement, a Leadership Network Publication, and of Building Leaders.

Church Unique
If you have not yet checked out the book Church Unique, it contains a systematic overview on the process of visioning for the church today. Much of what I write here is connected to the primary message and principles outlined in the book. Here is Leadership Network’s video where I talk about the book.
My Family
I live in the Clear Lake Area in Houston, Texas where I am thrilled to raise three children, Jacob (16), Joel (13), and Abby (10). Our favorite pastimes include mountain biking, reading, playing Halo 3, studying the culture of Chile and eating mexican food (specifically beef fajitas!)

Before Starting Auxano
Will (William F. Mancini) encountered the gospel for the first time as a Jr. high student in Augusta, Georgia, under the ministry of John W. P. Oliver at First Presbyterian Church of Augusta. During his teen years, he was influenced by a godly mother and the ministry of Harvey Nowland at The Willowdale Chapel in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. The most dramatic time of tranformation in Will’s life occurred during his college years at Penn State, where God used Campus Crusade for Christ and the ministry of Jim Topmiller to envision a call to ministry. Before and concurrent with his training season at Dallas Theological Seminary, Will worked for seven years as a chemical engineer; first for Dowell Schlumberger in oilfields of the Permian Basin (Midland) and then at Jones Blair Paint Company in Dallas. After seminary, Will served as as the pastor of spiritual formation and leadership development at Clear Creek Community Church. While serving at Clear Creek, several members worked for a Houston marketing company with a national platform with churches. In 2001, John Manlove, recruited Will to build a vision clarity process for their church clients to go through before providing typical marketing services. After three years and incredible response to the visioning process, Will followed God’s lead to set up a ministry that would reach more churches than just those interested in marketing services. In February 2004, Auxano was born.
